NEWS UPDATE - America Experiences first total solar eclipse in 99 years .

       For the first time in 99years The United States is witnessed a total solar eclipse . The eclipse is special as it is visible across America with the moon blotting out the sun completely in 14 states at different times throughout the day.





The solar eclipse is being streamed live online for the first time, from the vantage point of helium-filled balloons across the United States, providing the public with sky-high views as the moon blocks the sun.


 


"We'll see the variations from coast to coast to see what the eclipse does over landscapes," Cassandra Runyon, director of the South Carolina Space Grant Consortium, said excitedly at a test launch on Thursday.

This is the first time a solar eclipse is being streamed live. The viewers can see the live streaming on NASA's website.

Apart from the website, NASA will also have live streaming on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube page.

United States will witness the next total solar eclipse in April 2024, said the NASA website. The website stated that the eclipse "will come up from Mexico through Texas, proceeding through Carbondale IL (the point of longest eclipse for 2017) and on to New York, Maine, finally leaving land in Newfoundland."
