Rafa Benitez has been sacked as coach of Real Madrid, according to reports in the Spanish press. The Spaniard only took charge of the club at the start of the season, but his position has been called into question ever since the 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona in November. Sunday's 2-2 draw with Valencia has proved to be the final straw for club president Florentino Perez. Real Madrid Castilla head coach Zinedine Zidane will replace Benitez, according to the Spanish newspapers.
