NEWS UPDATE - 7up Truck Driver Arrested For Crushing Mentally Unstable Man To Death In River State

    The driver of a Seven up truck that allegedly crushed a man to death on Monday in Port Harcourt has been arrested by the police.


According to eyewitnesses, the victim was a mentally unstable man who usually sleeps under cars.
Unaware of the presence of the man under the truck, the driver was said to have driven the vehicle immediately after delivery.
“It happened so fast, and by the time I saw the young man, he had already been crushed,” a witness said.


 

 Also, a taxi driver who was passing by at the time of the incident blamed the truck driver, “because he ought to have checked the vehicle before switching on the ignition.”
A source close to the family of the deceased doubted that the victim slept under the truck, because he rarely slept outside.
The driver of the seven up truck is currently in police custody.
