NEWS UPDATE - Interior Ministry names suspects in mosque bombing

JEDDAH: The Ministry of Interior has offered a cash reward of SR5 million ($1.3 million) for information leading to the arrest of 16 suspects in the May 29 suicide bombing outside the Anoud Mosque in Dammam.
In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry also offered a reward of SR7 million ($1.9 million) for information that would avert any future attacks.file-03-blast.jpg
Three people were killed, along with the suspect who exploded the bomb in the parking area after he was stopped by security men from entering the women’s section of the mosque.
The suicide bomber, disguised as a woman, blew himself up while the Friday congregational prayer was under way, witnesses said.
Police said the bomber tried to enter the women's section found the gate locked. He then went to the men's section but was stopped by security men there. Then he went to the car and blew himself up
Four people who were not seriously injured were admitted to hospital. A probe has been launched into the crime.

The Anoud Mosque attack was the second on a Saudi mosque in a week. An attack on a mosque in Al-Qadeeh, Qatif, on May 22, killed 21 people as worshippers attended Friday prayers.
